- Vipingo’s 2,000 Acre Land Officially Gazetted as SEZ;

Centum’s Vipingo Special Economic Zone has announced that 2,000 acres of their land have officially been gazetted as a special economic zone(SEZ).
This marks a significant step in transforming Vipingo in to a premier investments and industrial hub on the Kenyan coast, they said.
Meanwhile, Centum has Partnered with ARIISE,a highly experienced developer and manager of economic zones across Africa, which deliver a world-class SEZ that will unlock new opportunities for business and investors.“The Vipingo SEZ will be a mixed-use zone designed to support: Manufacturing, Logistics and warehousing ,and Business parks,” Centum said in a statement.
With its strategic location, well-developed infrastructure, and pro-business incentives, Vipingo SEZ is set to attract investment, drive industrialization, and create jobs, contributing to Kenya’s economic growth.In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 (1) of the Special Economic Zones Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry, Salim Mvurya declared the land specified to be a special economic zone.

“The property situated in Kilifi County forming part of L.R. No. 5025/1591 (Original L.R. No. 5025/97) measuring 637.33 hectares and part of L.R. No. 1917/MV/IV (Original L.R. No. 666) measuring 172.17 hectares situated in Kilifi County, falling within the beacon co-ordinates referred to Equator and 39°E- is gazetted as SEZ,” Mvurya said in a statement.
Centum said that they look forward to working with investors, policymakers, and industry leaders to bring this vision to life.
Centum promised to give updates on development plans and opportunities within Vipingo SEZ.
