Scania East Africa is pleased to have officially handed over 35 units to Coca-Cola Beverages Africa – Kenya at an event which was attended by management from both companies.
A first time Scania customer, Coca-Cola Beverages Africa – Kenya has purchased a mix of Rigids and Prime Movers of P410 6×4 trucks with day cabs and plastic bumpers, specifically tailored for their business operations to increase load capacity and enhance fuel consumption. The trucks are currently being used to transport the company’s products across the country.
Speaking during the event,Scania East Africa’s outgoing Managing Director, Lars Eklund highlighted how both companies are on the path of driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system for a sustainable future by reducing CO2 emissions, fuel consumption, and operational costs. “We have setup this partnership in the right way, and we look forward to continuing to work together in decarbonizing the transport sector,” Lars shared.
“It started as dream for us in wanting to rejuvenate our fleet, and the shared values we have with Scania in terms of customer first, safety, and sustainability, and through the fleet that we have purchased, we have been able to enjoy the benefits of the three, together with the capacity building of our drivers.
