Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) is set to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 8th December 2023.
However,the utility firm has already informed the shareholders through the notice of the AGM to be held Virtually.
According to the statement released from the management.“Further to the notice of the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) to be held virtually on 8th December 2023 at 11.00.am.”
The notice adds the deadline for submission the four vacancies in the board is on Friday 24th November 2023.
KPLC has already given nod by the shareholders to change its structure in the board which will make the utility firm to be more efficient and customer centric which will deliver on the pillars set and change of policies.
The election of the four directors will be done by holders of class A ordinary shares in consideration of the amendments to the Company’s Article of Association which was passed by Extra Ordinary Meeting by shareholders on 10th November 2023 which provides the proportionate representation of shareholders in the Board .
The Company has however engaged Deloitte &Touche LLP as its official consultant to give assurance on the integrity of the process and provide critical support to the Board during the Transition period.
