FIFA World Cup™ Trophy arrives in Nairobi with pomp and colour

Kenya is receiving the trophy for the 4 th time as it sets out on its tour of 51
countries globally.

The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy arrived in Nairobi this morning to a magical welcome at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport accompanied by FIFA officials and Juliano Belletti, the football legend appointed by FIFA for tour.

The plane carrying the Trophy and the entourage touched down at JKIA at 11:00 am from Ethiopia as part of the African leg of the fifth FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour, which started in Dubai on May 12. The trophy was received at the airport by the Cabinet Secretary Sports, Arts and Culture Ambassador Amina Mohamed, also in attendance were key dignitaries, Cabinet Secretary Industrialisation, Trade and Enterprise Development Betty Maina, Cabinet Secretary Tourism and Wildlife Najib Balala, Nairobi County Governor Ann Kananu, KICC CEO, Nana Gecaga and Coca-Cola Vice President, East and Central Africa Franchise.
