Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) Board has announced the resignation of Ezra Chiloba as Director General
Chiloba resigned amid allegations of conflict of interest and abuse of office.
The Board of Directors of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has confirmed Director General Ezra Chiloba’s resignation.
‘On behalf of the Authority, I wish the outgoing Director General success in his future endeavours and appreciate his invaluable contribution to the organization and the wider ICT sector,’ said the CA Board Chairperson.
His resignation marked the end of his two-year tenure at CA, which began in October 2021.
Chiloba had not worked for the Agency since September 18, 2023, when an internal audit allegedly revealed significant losses in the CA scheme during his tenure.
This marks the end of his short stint of 2year tenure at the Communication Authority.Chiloba took over from Mercy Wanjau who was the Authority’s Acting Director General.Wanjau is the current Secretary to the Cabinet of the Republic of Kenya having worked in the Communication Authority as a lawyer.
Before her,the Authority was headed by the Late Francis Wangusi who passed away later this year on March having served at the helm for long period of tyme and made various transformation at the Authority.
