The East African Cables (EAC) Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Amb.Dennis Awori as its new Chairman of the listed company.
Amb.Awori joined the Board of the East African Cables Plc (EAC) in 2013 and has a vast experience in the motor Industry,Manufacturing,Business,Diplomacy (having been an ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Japan and Korea) and Sports making him a truly multifaceted transformational leader
He is currently serving in various Boards for instance CFAO Kenya Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation) and CFAO Mobility Kenya Limited among others.
Amb.Awori takes over the mantle atEAC following the untimely demise of the former chairman
Amb.Awori holds a Bachelor of Science(Bsc.) degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Machester in the United Kingdom(UK).The board is showing confident in the Amb.Awori’s stewardship to the Company and it gain.
The board however is assuring the new Chairman of its full support to discharge his duties .
This follows when the board announced the sudden demise of Dr. Waweru who served as the East African Cables(EAC) Board Chairman for seven years since his appointment in June 2017.
