Auditing, consulting, and financial advisory firm Deloitte East Africa has appointed Ann Muraya as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective June 1.
Muraya takes over from Joe Eshun who has been appointed as all over Africa who has been appointed as Deloitte Africa Managing director for business where he will be overseeing Deloitte’s business functions all over Africa.
She will be the first female CEO at the firm where she will be in charge of all offices in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, and Somalia.
She joins the CEO- elect Ruwayda Redfearn and Deloitte Africa board chair Delia Ndlovu as senior female executives leading the Deloitte Africa business.

I am excited to hand over the torch to Ann Muraya and we are confident that she will be a force in driving Deloitte forward in an exciting but also challenging post-pandemic environment.” said the outgoing Deloitte East Africa CEO Joe Eshun.
Prior to her appointment, Ann was also the first female East Africa Audit leader and Managing Director for Responsible Business and Public Policy for Deloitte Africa.
