APA Apollo Group appoints Dipankar Acharya as the new CEO

APA Apollo Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Dipankar Acharya as the new CEO of APA Insurance.With a distinguished career spanning 37 years in the insurance industry, Dipankar brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Group.

Dipankar’s impressive background includes leadership roles with four major insurance groups, where he has been at the helm of business operations for over 30 years. His comprehensive knowledge of insurance products, combined with his proficiency in leading various distribution channels, has consistently driven growth and profitability.

An alumnus of Delhi University, India, Dipankar holds degrees in Economics and Management and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India. Further enhancing his academic credentials, he earned a PhD in Business Administration from AMU, India.

Before joining APA Insurance, Dipankar served as the CEO and Director of Jubilee General Insurance Company of Tanzania. Dipankar’s extensive experience also includes 17 years with the RSA group (2001-2017). Prior to his tenure at RSA, Dipankar spent thirteen years with Oriental Insurance, a reputed general insurer in India.
