Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) has announced the stepping down of Mr.Athony Mwangi who served the Association as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for 2 years.
Mwangi has been instrumental and dedicated to service delivery as well as significant contributions towards the manufacturing sector in the Country.
Mr.Mwangi has been on forefront in advocating the Association’s mantra of Manufacturing 20by 30′ strategy.
According to the Newly appointed Chairperson Jane Karuku who was promoted recently to Chair the board,the positions of the CEO has been assumed by Tobias Alando in an Interim Capacity until the position is fully occupied after Association initiate and process the recruitment of new CEO.
Mr Tobias is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will continue to serve in an Ag.Capacity.Tobias joined KAM in 2015 and was appointed as Head of Membership and Governance in 2010 where he played a critical role of expanding the KAM’s membership base and leading the development and execution of strategies on membership growth and retention, business planning,and structural governance.
KAM continues to build on the strong foundation laid by Mwangi to take the Manufacturing to the highest level.
KAM is assuring its members,Partners and it’s stakeholders continued support as they work on seamless changes of Leadership.
However,KAM remains committed to its strategic objectives,its members and to various stakeholders on delivering it’s purpose of creating prosperity for the nation through sustainable industrialisation.
The Association has been able to advocate and work with the government on the review of tax policies and laws, resolving tax issues, and providing guidance on regulations for its members.
KAM works to highlight and resolve specific challenges faced by manufacturers, and to address issues in the general business environment that hinder the growth and expansion of local businesses.
