Airtel Money, a leading mobile money services provider in Kenya has revised its transfer and withdrawal transaction charges. This will be effective from 25th October 2023.The revision of the transaction costs is a reflection of Airtel Money’s strive to offer its customers cost-effective solutions as they make transactions across the different bands.Worth noting is that sending money from Airtel to Airtel remains absolutely free of charge.Additionally, the withdrawal charges and cost of transferring money to other networks will remain significantly affordable compared to current market rates. Below are the revised transaction charges:

In August 2023,Airtel received approval from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) to increase the daily transaction limit for its customers from the current Kes 300,000 to Kes 500,000 effective August 15, 2023.This was in a move to align with Airtel Money’s commitment to enabling seamless and affordable digital transactions to all Kenyan citizens and businesses. The company recently announced that it has tripled its number of mobile money agents and targets to close at 120,000 agents by the end of 2023.
