Health Principal Secretary Susan Mochache has received a donation of assorted medical equipment and PPEs worth KSh 32.1 M from the World Health Organisation(WHO) to aid in ongoing COVID-19 management and mitigation efforts.
Speaking during the handover of the donation at Afya House,the PS noted that the social economic impact of the pandemic calls for sustained collaboration between the government and partners.
She commended the WHO for the continued technical and material support since the onset of the pandemic.The WHO has donated assorted equipment and PPEs valued at Ksh 110,167,335.164 since December 2020.
The PS commended the media for their role in sensitising Kenyans on COVID-19 safety measures and called for more efforts among stakeholders to ensure success in the fight against the pandemic.
