DT Dobie has made it easier for Mercedes Benz truck owners who would like to replace old trucks with new models by offering trade in deals. This was announced by Dale Slee, the DT Dobie Business Development Director when Naivas traded in a 12 year old Actros for a brand new one.
Naivas was represented by Willy S Mwangangi, the Transport Manager and his colleague Thomas Kimani, the Garage General Manager who said,” Our old truck had covered nearly a million kilometres and given good service.”
Willy Mwangangi commented,” We have six Mercedes which have served us well over the years, but we are replacing the old one with the new model which is more powerful and uses less fuel. We are grateful for this trade in deal which has saved our Company the time and money usually needed when disposing an old asset.”
On his part, Joe Mungai, the Fleet Management Consultant and Driver Trainer for Mercedes Benz Heavy Commercial Vehicles said, “We will hold a three day training course for the Naivas drivers to familiarize them with the new truck. Two days will be devoted to classroom tuition on fuel efficient driving, professionalism and safety. “On the third day of the course, we will take a truck on the road where we will practise all the subjects learnt in the theory classes.”
