They committed to form an umbrella to formalize a national outfit through having a strong structures and operations systems to address the plight of small sector traders which saw the establishment of MSME ALLIANCE OF KENYA to tackle the main Challenges.
A recent study by central bank of Kenya indicates that MSME’s constitute of 98% of all business in Kenya. Creating 60% of the available jobs and also the largest active contributor to the country’s GDP annually.
However, with the covid19 era 25% are at risk of closing down due to curfews, trade restrictions and high financial burdens by end of 2021 as MSME alliance of Kenya we are hopeful that through our newly formed partnership with Equity bank we shall offer financial assistance and literacy to our Members to cushion their businesses.
MSME’s FUTURE PLANS:
MSME Alliance of Kenya we are forging strategic partnerships in different areas to assist our members in capacity building, financial literacy and trade financing the scope of our training will cover: finances, youth opportunities, risk assessment and mitigation, new market linkages and emerging business trends in the country and other regions. with the legal team on standby,MSME alliance of kenya will provide legal services to the members to safeguard their business interests.
Absorbing different boards mandated to formulate policies affecting this sector,final stages are in place of setting up a tollfree call centre where the members will call for free to inquire on different areas of interest which are taxation, finance and licencing.
