The 2024 DRC Investors’ Roadshow wrapped up its final leg in Lubumbashi, with delegates getting an opportunity to experience the city’s thriving business ecosystem and mingle with local entrepreneurs and industry giants alike.
During a business session, Yves Binzunga the EquityBCDC Regional Director for the Southern Region, highlighted the vast potential within Agriculture, Mining, Infrastructure, and Energy development sectors. He encouraged the investors to forge connections and explore the myriad opportunities in Lubumbashi.
From site visits to cutting-edge enterprises across diverse sectors, the delegates experienced firsthand the dynamic pulse of Lubumbashi’s economic landscape. During the Roadshow some investors sealed groundbreaking deals, that included MoUs with the Government, marking a significant milestone in forging partnerships that promise to reshape the future.
Agriculture also emerged as a beacon of opportunity in Lubumbashi. In perfect harmony with its rich mining heritage, the city is nurturing a fertile ground for agricultural innovation and investment. The delegates had an opportunity to witness agricultural production at GoCongo farm and Ferme Jambo, which are leading Agricultural enterprises in Lubumbashi.
This initiative aims to position the DRC and the East African Region as a prominent trade and investment hub on the global stage. This year’s event marked the fourth installment of a series of roadshows and investment forums organized by Equity Group in the DRC.
- About 500 investors hailing from 20 countries worldwide are expected to participate in the DRC investors’ roadshow, scheduled to run from March 3rd to March 8th, 2024.During this roadshow,investors will have the opportunity to explore potential investment avenues in the DRC’s capital, Kinshasa, as well as in the city of Lubumbashi in central DRC.
