Safaricom clients will now be able to pay for goods and services using 5G bundles.
The telco has unveiled a new payment model that will see its post-pay and prepaid subscribers access the service with at least 5GB of bundles.
Users will be required to dial *544*34# through their Safaricom lines and will then be prompted to pay the amount keyed in via till numbers or paybills.
The service does not allow one to proceed beyond the dialing code in the event one does not have the no-expiry data limit threshold of 5 gigabytes of Safaricom bundles.
In the new payment model, 500 shillings is equivalent to 7,692.21MBS (7.7GB), while Sh2,000 is equivalent to 30,769.23MBs (30.8GB).
Safaricom has recently been on a charm offensive to hold a tight grip on its customers and lure more customers to use its services by rolling out new solutions.
Not so long ago, the telco launched a new product that allowed users to repay their bills as well as Okoa Jahazi using Bonga Points as well as buy smartphones
